Senior Care
Taking care of our senior population is one of the many honors that I have in my work.
Getting older is not for the faint of heart, and being in a position to help those who find themselves in that stage in life is incredibly rewarding. I take pride in being able to help people navigate the natural aging process of their bodies, with an immense focus on maintaining one’s ability to perform their regular activities of daily living and recreation.
Understanding aging and chiropractic
There are many processes that occur when we as humans age. People frequently experience decreased strength, changes in balance, arthritis, degeneration on the body, and many more. This does not disqualify someone from being a great candidate for care. Quite the opposite, when it comes to maintaining our ability to perform our recreational activities, chase grand kids, and remain in the garden, chiropractic care can potentially help with these goals.
Treatment Approach
By focusing on the maintenance of range of motion I can encourage the decrease of severity and frequency of pain and the continuation of activities and hobbies patients enjoy the most. This can help keep people on the move and by not letting pain keep them down. I can accomplish this through gentle hands on techniques that are safe for any patient presentation. This includes patients that may have a history of surgery, arthritis, degeneration or major injuries. I can always alter the treatment to fit whatever is most appropriate for the patient, to keep patients safe and on the move.
